New Year's
31/Dec/08 04:54 PM
Today I bring you a picture of the completed Spider
Web quilt. While the top is completely sewn together,
it is not quilted yet. Right now, it is much too big
for my quilt frame, so I will fold it up and put it
away safely with my other tops that are also waiting
to be quilted.
I also have another cute basket to show you.
I have some table runners that go along with a couple of these baskets that I have made. I am just about finished binding them and I will post pictures of those as well.
In the mean time, have a safe and happy New Year’s Eve.

Weeping Lillies
30/Dec/08 05:27 PM
Weeping Lillies is the September block for Bouquet
For a New Day Quilt. I finished this block up about a
week ago. I am already about half way finished with
Octobers block.
Getting that much closer to having all the blocks complete. Its going to be sad to see this one come to an end, I have really enjoyed this project. I think I found my niche, I love needle turn applique.

Happy Holidays
29/Dec/08 03:26 PM
Happy Holidays everyone out there. I know this is
late, but at least I made it. I have been very busy
sewing and relaxing. I am on my last week of vacation
and seeing how much I can get accomplished.
I have much to share with you, but will try to spread it out over the course of a couple of days. I still get stuck by not pulling of pictures from my camera, (for some reason that is so hard for me to get around to doing, otherwise I would have posted sooner.
But for now... I have the next block, which was actually last months block for the quilt Baskets in bloom all complete and just about finished with this months block. Of course I forgot to take a picture of it, so I will make a mental note of that and try and get one posted for you.
I finished up a quilt top that I have been working on for a while, you know the kind, you work on it for a while then set it down and later on run across it and go ‘Oh yeah’ and then start on it again.
Its called Mary’s Flower Garden, from Quiltsmart. If you haven’t heard of Quiltsmart before, you should check it out, its so easy and tons of fun.
I have all the blocks sewn together, but I need to add some borders, just not sure what color to do it in. Maybe someone out there will have a suggestion for me. Its a bit narrow and I think it will look better if I add a wider border to the sides to make it larger. What do you all think?
Or I guess I could add another row of flowers, making it 4 by 4. Please tell me what you think of this.

Productivity
09/Dec/08 06:11 PM
Another productive weekend has past. I made another
fabric basket....
I also have another Block completed for Bouquet For A New Day...
I also have made wonderful progress on my spider web quilt. I got all the blocks made. Now I just need to get them sewn together.
I am not sure if I will actually have all the blocks completed for the Bouquet For A New Day completed by the end of the year. It is after all December and I am just now starting on September’s, but I am sure trying my best to get caught up.
Well until next time, I will see what else I can complete.

Updates & Pictures
01/Dec/08 10:20 AM
Been a while since I posted anything. But I have been
super busy, and by seeing the pictures that I am
going to post you will see also that I have been
busy.
First off we have my July Block for Bouquet for a New Day quilt.
Next is the Block for Baskets in Bloom
This one is actually Octobers Block, but not to worry, I am not too far behind, November’s is almost finished. I will probably have it complete by next weekend, and will post a picture of it then.
Now for something a bit different. How about this cute little fabric basket....
Here is another shot of it. I am really tickled with how it turned out.
I had actually found this cute litttle fabric basket on a fellow quilters blog, the Pink Penguin.
I couldn’t pass it up, and had to make one, well maybe a second one as well. I am already thinking about what colors to use.
